The Council target is for their staff to respond within 2.5 days.  The Council carries out general litter clearance and removal of fly-tipping from Public and Open Spaces, but they will not clear fly-tipping from private land.  If you see fly tipping in action please take the vehicle license number and report to the Borough or our local PCSO, tel: 101. If you pay a contractor to take waste from your property you have a duty of care to confirm that they are a properly registered contractor and they will take waste to a registered tip. Private householders can be held responsible for illegally tipped waste and heavily fined.
